Description
The Best Chili Cheese Dip: a hot, creamy 4-ingredient dip that combines cream cheese, salsa, cheddar, and halal chili for quick weeknight or party-snack perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup salsa (mild or spicy, your choice)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups halal chili (homemade or canned, bean or no bean)
Instructions
- Stovetop Method: In a saucepan over medium heat, add cream cheese and salsa. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Stir in chili and shredded cheddar. Cook until the cheese is fully melted and dip is bubbling. Serve hot with tortilla chips, pita wedges, or veggie sticks.
- Crockpot Method: Add all ingredients to a small slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 1–2 hours, stirring occasionally, until melted and heated through. Keep on warm setting while serving.
Notes
- Best served immediately for the creamiest texture.
- Stir occasionally on stovetop to prevent scorching.
- Adjust salsa heat to taste for milder or hotter dips.
- For a thicker dip, use more cream cheese or less chili.
- Can be made ahead and reheated; keep warm until serving.
