Spooky Halloween Taco Dip is a haunting 7-layer dip with Mexican-inspired flavors, topped with a creepy sour cream spiderweb and an olive spider—perfect for Halloween parties and feeding a crowd!

- 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
- 1 cup sour cream (plus extra for the spiderweb)
- 1 packet taco seasoning (about 1 oz)
- 2 cups guacamole (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 cup fresh salsa or pico de gallo
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- ½ cup sliced black olives (reserve 1 whole olive for the spider body)
- ½ cup chopped tomatoes
- ½ cup chopped green onions
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
- Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix refried beans with half the taco seasoning. Spread evenly in the bottom of a shallow serving dish.
- In another bowl, mix 1 cup sour cream with the remaining taco seasoning. Spread over the bean layer.
- Spread guacamole evenly over the sour cream layer.
- Add a layer of salsa or pico de gallo.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the salsa.
- Top with chopped tomatoes, green onions, black olive slices, and cilantro if using.
- To make the spiderweb: place a few tablespoons of sour cream in a small piping bag or zip-top bag with the tip snipped. Pipe concentric circles on top of the dip, then drag a toothpick from the center outward to create a web effect.
- For the spider: cut one whole black olive in half for the body and use thin strips of olive for the legs. Place on top of the web.
- Serve immediately or chill for up to 4 hours before serving with tortilla chips.
