Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine diced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, water, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir well.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until apples soften and mixture thickens (about 20 minutes).
  3. Stir in caramel sauce and continue cooking another 10–15 minutes, until jam reaches a spreadable consistency.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Transfer to sterilized jars and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks, or process in a water bath for longer storage.
