Description

Halloween Vampire Bite Cupcakes are spooky, chocolatey, and packed with a hidden strawberry “blood” filling that oozes with every bite. These fang-decorated cupcakes are the perfect creepy dessert for your Halloween party—easy to make, kid-approved, and chillingly tasty!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp white vinegar
  • ½ cup strawberry jam or preserves
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring (optional, for deeper “blood” effect)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 23 tbsp milk or cream
  • Red gel food coloring (for “blood” drips)
  • White frosting for fangs
  • Vampire teeth toppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake tray with 12 paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine milk, oil, egg, vanilla, and vinegar. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix until smooth.
  4. Fill each cupcake liner ¾ full and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  5. Mix strawberry jam with red food coloring if using. Using a knife or cupcake corer, remove a small center from each cupcake. Fill the hole with the strawberry mixture and replace the cupcake top.
  6. Beat butter until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, then vanilla and milk until smooth and pipeable.
  7. Frost cupcakes as desired. Use a small tip to pipe white fangs and add red gel for blood drips.
  8. Chill slightly before serving for best presentation.

Notes

  • Let cupcakes cool completely before filling.
  • If you want a deeper blood effect, add extra red food coloring to the jam or top frosting.
  • For easier center filling, use a cupcake corer or small knife.
  • Optional decorations include white frosting for fangs, red gel for blood, and vampire teeth toppers.
