Ingredients
Scale
- 8 halal mini sausages or hot dogs
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Candy eyes or small dabs of mustard/ketchup for eyes
- Flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lightly flour your surface and roll out the puff pastry sheet. Cut into thin strips (about ¼ inch wide).
- Wrap each sausage with pastry strips to look like mummy bandages, leaving a small gap near the top for eyes.
- Place wrapped sausages on the baking sheet. Beat the egg and brush lightly over the pastry to give a golden finish.
- Bake for 13–15 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, then add candy eyes or small dots of mustard/ketchup in the face gap.
- Serve warm with dipping sauces like spicy ketchup, garlic mayo, or honey mustard.
