- 1½ pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and halved
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup french fried onions, plus extra for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Boil green beans in salted water for 4–5 minutes until just tender, then drain and rinse with cold water.
- In a large bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, pepper, and shredded cheese.
- Fold in green beans and 1 cup of french fried onions.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and spread evenly.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and heated through.
- Sprinkle extra french fried onions on top and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Serve warm as a delicious side for holidays or any cozy meal.
