Description
Cranberry Turkey Stuffing Balls: Savory, tender bites combining juicy turkey, stuffing, and tangy cranberries for a festive holiday appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked turkey, finely chopped
- 3 cups prepared stuffing (cooled)
- ½ cup dried cranberries
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup turkey or chicken broth
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp dried sage
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix chopped turkey, stuffing, cranberries, egg, broth, and seasonings until well combined.
- Using your hands or a scoop, form the mixture into 12–14 balls about the size of a golf ball.
- Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet and lightly spray or brush with oil or melted butter.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and heated through.
- Serve warm with cranberry sauce or gravy for dipping.
Notes
- If the mixture seems dry, add a splash more broth or a drizzle of olive oil to moisten.
- Chill the mixture for 15 minutes if it’s not holding its shape well to help form the balls.
- Fresh cranberries can be substituted: use about 1 cup finely chopped fresh cranberries and cook slightly to soften before mixing.
- Serve with cranberry sauce or gravy for dipping; great as an holiday appetizer or side dish.
