Caramel Apple Puppy Chow is a crunchy, cinnamon-kissed snack that captures cozy fall vibes with a caramel-white chocolate coating and apple flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cups Apple Cinnamon Chex cereal
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup crushed freeze-dried apples
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Optional: ¼ tsp sea salt for a sweet-salty touch

Instructions

  1. Place cereal in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Stir in the caramel sauce.
  3. Pour the caramel-white chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently stir until all pieces are coated.
  4. In a large zip-top bag, combine powdered sugar, cinnamon, and crushed apples.
  5. Add coated cereal to the bag, seal, and shake until fully coated.
  6. Spread on a baking sheet to cool. Drizzle with extra caramel sauce and let set.
  7. Once dry, store in an airtight container for up to a week.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
  • Drizzle with extra caramel sauce before serving, if desired.
  • For a dairy-free version, use dairy-free white chocolate chips and caramel substitute.
  • Let the coated cereal dry completely on a parchment-lined sheet for best crunch before storing.
