- 1 small onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1¼ cups milk (or halal-friendly cream)
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook rice according to package instructions. Set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add onions and garlic; sauté until fragrant and softened, about 3–4 minutes.
- Add ground beef, paprika, pepper, and salt. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Stir in cooked rice and mix well to combine.
- Pour in milk and stir in cheddar cheese. Let simmer on low for 2–3 minutes, until cheese is melted and the mixture is creamy.
- Top with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot in bowls.
