Description

Bang Bang Chicken Sliders: Crispy chicken tossed in a spicy, creamy Bang Bang sauce tucked inside fluffy slider buns for bold, crowd-pleasing bites.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns or mini brioche rolls
  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or plain yogurt)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying (or baking/air frying for lighter version)
  • For Bang Bang Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp sriracha (adjust to heat preference)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, sliced pickles, green onions

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best flavor).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Dredge chicken pieces in flour mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet and fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through (or bake/air fry at 400°F for 15–20 minutes).
  4. Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey to make Bang Bang sauce.
  5. Toss cooked chicken in the sauce until well coated.
  6. Assemble sliders: place chicken on buns, top with lettuce, pickles, or green onions if desired.
  7. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best flavor).
  • For extra crispiness, double-dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture before frying.
  • For a lighter version, bake or air-fry the coated chicken at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes.
  • Adjust heat by modifying the amount of sriracha in the Bang Bang sauce.
  • Make the Bang Bang sauce ahead of time and refrigerate; re-stir before tossing with fried chicken.
  • Assemble sliders just before serving to keep buns from getting soggy.
